1. Keep bed ln lowest position, with wheels locked, when not providing care. 2. Make sure the resident has a call light, as well as access to any items they may need. 3. Monitor resident frequently. If resident is unable to move, repositions every two hours. 4. Offer toileting every two hours. 5. Raise bed rails, if ordered by a doctor, or per "at risk" policy of the facility. 5. If appropriate, use a bed alarm to notify staff if resident attempts to get out of bed without assistance.
