What is the role of the CNA?

To provide basic care for a patient/resident and to meet their physical and psychosocial needs. Care includes assisting with activities of daily living (ADL), toileting and perineal care, checking vital signs, answering call lights, distributing meal trays and feeding, and reporting changes to the charge nurse.
