How to perform nail care for a resident
1. Wash hands, and put on gloves. 2. Soak the resident's hands in warm water to soften nails. 3. Remove dirt from underneath fingernails. 4. Trim nails with a nail clipper, cutting straight across. Round edges with an emery board. 5. If desired, apply lotion to hands and fingers. 6. Remove gloves and wash hands.
