CNA Practice Test: Basic Restorative Services 1

Reviewed by Winona Suzanne Ball, Nursing Adviser, RN | MHS, Governors State University, IL, Full member of the American Nurses Association.

These 25 practice questions will help you prepare for the 2024 CNA examination. The practice questions are based on the categories that are included in the exam. They are similar (and often identical) to the actual CNA exam questions. Each question has been researched, and the answer verified. A CNA plays a crucial role in helping patients who need restorative services. As a direct-care professional, you help clients regain function after surgery or injury. Your daily care and support are essential to their healing as well as their attitude and spirit.
Topics covered in this practice test include the following:
  • Examples of restorative services
  • Helping a resident be independent
  • Range-of-motion (ROM) exercises
  • Bladder training
  • Avoiding contractures and pressure sores
  • Assisting residents with rehabilitation
Each practice question is multiple choice with four answer options. Read the question carefully and select the best answer. If you are not sure, click on the Hint button under the options to read a hint that can help you choose the correct answer. If you still miss the question, an explanation will pop up to help you understand. If you miss more than six questions, you can restart the test and try again. Good luck!
